“The design process was very flexible and intuitive. This was our first time creating a decal, and they were intentionally large (6.5" x 39"). I got a quick response from support regarding the maximum reasonable height we could fit into a specific area.
We intended to apply them the moment they arrived, but couldn't do it until a month later. The decals remained rolled up inside their box that whole time. The problem we had was that the transfer tape was puckered presumably from being on the inside of the rolled decal so long. Once we removed the backing liner, the decal was tricky to flatten out due to the undulations in the transfer tape. One letter of the first decal ended up with a fold that we had to carefully cut apart and flatten. For the second decal we cut the two words apart after taping it to the surface and had an easier time. I don't know if we should have let the decals "rest" flat before applying, whether that would have helped relax the ripples in the transfer tape or not.
Nonetheless we are satisfied with our purchase and will but from DIY Lettering again.”
“Delivery was really quick.
The lettering is very easy to apply.
I just followed the directions & the name on my boat looks like it was professionally installed!
I couldn't be happier! And the "replacement" if you screw it up makes it the best deal going!!!”
“I cannot get enough of this company/website! Our third time using them for boat lettering. The site is entertaining to and easy to navigate. The turnaround is always faster than I expect, and packaging is consistently perfect. Thoroughly impressed with the longevity of the films they use. 100% recommended!”
“Website to create my own design was easy / questions were answered promptly / delivery was fast / packaging was great / installation was easy ... overall a great product, great company !! If I ever need lettering, I would definitely buy from them again, and will (already have) highly recommend!”
Vinyl Lettering Use: My husband and I just built our new dream home, and our goal was to have the house "look" like it was built ~100 years ago, so lots of retro stuff/architecture throughout. One of the fun things we did was make our office door look like that of an old private investiagators office. I am so pleased with the way it turned out ... and the lettering was quite easy to install.
